This month is all about movies! So dim the lights and get your clapperboard ready. LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION!
You know your DVDs off by heart - you can recite lines and know all the names of the leading stars. But do your family and friends? Put them to the test with your own ‘Moviemind’ quiz. Set up a black chair in your living room (ask your Dad about Mastermind!) and get ready to time out your contestants with your quick-fire questions. Who is Darth Vadar? What is the Death Star? Why is Chewbacca so hairy?! Suddenly, your family WILL want to watch Star Wars for the 11th time!
Who gets to choose what film the family watches tonight? YOU DO! You’re the host of your very own movie night. Get creative and send out your own invites to a special, ticket-only screening of your favourite flick. Everyone MUST attend! Borrow your Dad’s torch and dim the lights to show your guests to their seats. Prepare plenty of popcorn, sweet treats and jugs of Jucee and then settle back to watch your film, your way. You could even have an interval and serve up ice lollies (made with Jucee of course!) half-way through!
It’s not only Hollywood stars that can walk the red carpet. Why not hold your own family awards with the Jucee Oscars? Give Dad a Jucee Oscar for having the stinkiest socks. Award Mum a Jucee Oscar for spending the longest on the phone. Give your sister an award for having the most horrible hair – the list is endless!! You can make your own Jucee Oscar by using an empty bottle of Jucee. Simply cover it in gold paper and stick it to a cardboard base with the name of the Oscar award. Then invite family to walk their own ‘red carpet’ in the lounge (a red towel will do!) and make sure they write a good acceptance speech!
